Congratulations! You can officially say you are a part of the ÌÇÐÄVLOGÍøÒ³°æ Family. As an incoming student at ÌÇÐÄVLOGÍøÒ³°æ, you are about to embark on one of the most significant and memorable phases of your life.

ÌÇÐÄVLOGÍøÒ³°æ's First Year Experience (FYE) is designed to foster an undergraduate student experience that focuses on your positive transition to college, actively inspires you to explore your passions and interests, as well as supports the beginning of your adult life of learning and development.

FYE also connects you with people, places, and programs so that you can begin creating a vision of what you want your ÌÇÐÄVLOGÍøÒ³°æ experience to be.

Our priority is to ensure that you have everything you need to be successful which includes information, resources, connections, and a sense of belonging at ÌÇÐÄVLOGÍøÒ³°æ.

Before you begin, if you have not already submitted your enrollment deposit to commit to ÌÇÐÄVLOGÍøÒ³°æ, that is your first step.

Welcome Home - Orientation

January Orientation

New students and their guests are invited to begin their journey at ÌÇÐÄVLOGÍøÒ³°æ through our Virtual January Orientation Program. This program is designed to help you transition smoothly into university life, offering key insights into academics, campus life, and the vibrant ÌÇÐÄVLOGÍøÒ³°æ community.

A one-day transition program in the summer designed to connect you with people, places, and programs, learn what it takes to be a successful ÌÇÐÄVLOGÍøÒ³°æ student, and leave with a clear understanding of how to customize that vision for success.

Welcome Week

This extended orientation is a transition period between move-in day and the first day of class. This program is designed to help you settle into campus, build connections with the ÌÇÐÄVLOGÍøÒ³°æ community, find opportunities that match your interests, and develop a sense of belonging on ÌÇÐÄVLOGÍøÒ³°æ's campus before classes start.

This first year seminar course will include experiential and collaborative learning that supports you through your transition to ÌÇÐÄVLOGÍøÒ³°æ in your first semester. Through a plan, do, reflect learning model, students will be introduced to a topic, experience a topic, and dialogue/debrief on a topic. This course will be facilitated by a ÌÇÐÄVLOGÍøÒ³°æ staff or faculty member as well as an upper level student Transition Guide.
